The Municipality of Prato, the Province and the Tuscany Region, have very generously agreed to be a patron of the 2007 Congress.
Town of Prato
The Congress location is Prato, a fascinating medieval city in the heart of Tuscany. It is easy to reach, just 20 km from Florence.
For centuries it has been at the centre of Italy’s textile industry and has a long experience of dealing with the human issues of living and working in an industrialized society.

Province of Prato
The Province of Prato departs from the silent woodlands of the Bisenzio Valley, on the border between Toscana and Emilia Romagna, down to a densely populated plane surrounded by the Montalbano gentle hills. Born in 1992, it is composed of seven municipalities: Cantagallo, Carmignano, Montemurlo, Poggio a Caiano, Prato, Vaiano, Vernio.

Tuscany
Tuscany's name can be attributed to the Etruscan civilization, which settled in the area around 1000 BC. Throughout the centuries the region has contributed greatly to the world of art. It gathers some of the most famous places in Italy, such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, and many others. Tuscany is a land of interesting landscapes, a centre for Renaissance art and architecture, a region full of traditions and charm which produces some of the finest wines in Italy.
